We with United Way in Liberty County are striving to offer a wide assortment of
flexible volunteer opportunities for individuals, families, corporate and community
groups in our efforts to encourage you to be an agent of change ... volunteer!
Becoming a registered volunteer is easy — simply register online through Hands On Savannah's MEMBER CENTER , find a project, and sign up. For date-specific projects, browse a Hands On Savannah calendar that displays exclusively Liberty County projects HERE We currently operate through United Way’s volunteer center, Hands On Savannah, an affiliate of Hands On Network. As the nation's largest volunteer network. HandsOn Network has 250 on-the-ground volunteer action centers across the country and connects volunteers to more than 70,000 nonprofit agencies that need their help.
As a Hands On volunteer in Liberty County, you have access to browse a wide range of opportunities, both those done in a day and also the on-going projects each addressing critical needs in the following areas:
Volunteer projects can range from planting a community garden to serving a meal at the Manna House to cleaning up local waterways. Volunteers make a positive difference in their community by transforming organizations, neighborhoods and ultimately, individuals. Youth volunteers can serve as individuals if they meet an organization’s minimum age requirement. Otherwise, young volunteers can serve with their family, school, youth group or even organize their own service project.
