American Red Cross, Southeast Georgia Chapter

Who We Are

There are a variety of opportunities and activities available here at the American Red Cross Of Southeast and Coastal Georgia. Below are just a few examples of ways that you can become involved:

Disaster Services: Our Disaster Services team is responsible for helping those affected in our community and around the United States. Each year, the American Red Cross responds to more than 70,000 disasters throughout the United States. Disaster relief activities, provided 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, focuses on meeting people's immediate needs, which may include shelter, food, and health or mental health support services. All disaster relief services are free, a donated gift of the American people. In this region, we need Disaster Action Team members! These are individuals who will respond locally when an emergency arises.

Service to the Armed Forces: The American Red Cross provides support to our military service members, veterans, and their families. Members of the military and their families may access communication and financial assistance services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Local opportunities are available at nearby Fort Stewart, Hunter Army Airfield and King's Bay Naval Base. There are several opportunities available on every base! Including troop greetings, casework, and clerical work.

Administrative Services: Administrative volunteers assist in office locations with a variety of tasks such as staffing reception desks, assisting with special projects, research, human resources activities, and a variety of other opportunities. The Savannah Office is looking for some energetic front desk volunteers that would like to help staff our client phone lines.

Youth Services: We are actively looking for energetic youth that would like to start Red Cross Youth Clubs. These young adults can start clubs in their schools, faith based organizations and other community settings.  Learn how to involve youth volunteers, organize school-based or community based Red Cross Clubs for youth in your local area.

All American Red Cross volunteers are required to complete an online orientation, agree to Red Cross policies, and submit to a background check.
